Under the agreement, Morrison will establish a base in New Jersey and help the APT reach unionized workers and provide necessary training for the project. Blackstone’s holding company intends to fabricate 5,000-tonne substation foundation shells under a plan backed by a $50 million workforce development investment ( 48.8 million euros) over 10 years.

APT will launch the investment plan when bids are awarded as part of a state solicitation to develop an offshore wind power transmission network to provide up to 3,600 MW of offshore wind power generation . As part of its proposal, the company pledged to create approximately 1,000 jobs and some $1.5 billion (1.1 billion euros) in economic value for New Jersey during the construction period. of five years.

The proposed manufacturing facilities will be the first on the East Coast, APT said.
