New England Patriots claim sixth straight victory


The New England Patriots have won six straight, defeating the Tennessee Titans 36-13 at Gillette Stadium to sit 8-4 atop the AFC East.

The Titans, still without key man Derrick Henry after his foot surgery, suffered a second straight loss, appearing to be in the game as they were down just 16-13 at halftime.

Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones delivered a strong performance with two touchdown passes, completing 23 passes for 310 yards, while the defense also produced four turnovers.

Leonard Fournette scored four touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rallied to defeat the Indianapolis Colts 38-31 with a dramatic late show at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Tom Brady helped push his team with a 75-yard run as Fournette ran into the end zone with just 20 seconds left and Ryan Succop converted the extra point.

The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 41-10 at Paul Brown Stadium to move 7-4 into AFC North.

Running back Joe Mixon rushed for a career-high 165 yards and also scored two touchdowns to leave the Steelers winless in their last three games.

The New York Jets inflicted another loss on the Houston Texans with a 21-14 victory at NRG Stadium.

The Texans suffered a fourth loss in the last five games and a ninth of the season as Zach Wilson, back in shape, threw for 145 yards and also ran for a touchdown.

The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a third straight loss as the Atlanta Falcons won 21-14 at TIAA Bank Field.

Cordarrelle Patterson marked his return from an ankle injury with two touchdowns to give Atlanta a first win in three weeks as they prepare to face upcoming Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay.

The Miami Dolphins extended their winning streak to four games with a 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers at Hard Rock Stadium.

Jaylen Waddle made nine catches to return the season’s 137 yards and also scored a touchdown.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 27 of 31 assists as the Dolphins – who suffered a seven-game losing streak earlier in the campaign – continued their resurgence.

At MetLife Stadium, the New York Giants put on a solid defensive display, beating the Philadelphia Eagles 13-7.

Chris Myarick scored a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter, while Graham Gano kicked two baskets at 35 and 39 yards.

The Los Angeles Rams suffered their third straight loss after quarterback Matthew Stafford threw an interception late in the third quarter for the Green Bay Packers to finish 36-28 winners.

In other subsequent games, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Minnesota Vikings 34-26, the Denver Broncos beat the Los Angeles Chargers 28-13, and the Baltimore Ravens defeated Lamar Jackson’s four interceptions for a 16-10 win over the Cleveland Browns.
